The new building of the Institute of Biotechnology, which includes specialist laboratories, seminar and computer rooms etc., is the most modern scientific and didactic building of the University of Gdańsk. The building consists of 4 above-ground and 1 underground floors, and its usable area is about 8,000 m2.
The right air comfort for lecturers and students is provided by 16 Klimor hygienic MCKH units, 5 standard MCKS and a suspended MCKT units. The total air capacity of 22 AHUs with rotary and glycol exchangers installed in this facility is 249,000 m3/h. The Klima-Therm Group has also supplied 2 Klima-Therm by Clint chilled water units which cooperate with over 200 induction units. Numerous Fujitsu Split type air conditioning units have also been installed in the facility.
