Gdynia Maritime University is the largest public naval college in Poland and one of the largest in Europe. It was opened in 1920. The university is widely-known for the high standard of education for the purposes of maritime economy.

In July 2009, the university started renovation of its indoor swimming pool. In order to provide great comfort to its users and to prevent moisture condensation which affects the building structure, the KLIMOR company provided the most optimal air-conditioning and ventilation solutions. Apart from the swimming pool, the air-conditioning and ventilation solutions were installed in other rooms, such as: men's and women's changing rooms, and sanitary facilities. 

The installation project includes a supply and exhaust MCKB unit with glycol heat recovery and a reverse heat pump of the flow rate of supply and exhaust air of 18000m³/h (500Pa) and 2 suspended supply and exhaust PCKb units of the flow rate of air of 1212m³/h and 1120m³/h – used to ventilate both changing rooms.

The renovated swimming pool (25 metres by 13.5 metres, depth from 0.9 metre to 3.4 metres) was put into use in July 2010.
